Karur Vysya Bank net profit up 15%

Gross NPA increased to 1.85 % from 0.82%, posted a year ago

Karur Vysya Bank Limited reported a 15.25 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 137.83 crore during the quarter ended March 31, compared to Rs 119.59 crore, a year earlier. The bank’s total income rose to Rs 1507.61 crore from Rs 1468.45 crore. Non-performing assets (NPAs) were at Rs 677.79 crore as compared to Rs 279.18 crore.

It increased to 1.85 per cent from 0.82 per cent, a year earlier.

Net NPA was at 0.78 per cent as compared to 0.41 per cent.
