Star Plus, the flagship channel of Star India is coming up with new episodes of its game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) in the new season beginning early next year.
As a precursor to the new KBC episodes, Star has launched the re-run of some of special celebrity episodes and these reruns are on top of the TRP ratings for the two weeks after it started on September 6, 2002, as per television audience measurement (TAM) data.
The reruns have taken over even the new programmes launched by Zee TV and Sony TV around the same time. Confirming the move, a senior spokesperson of Star India said,
