Pune -based pump manufacturer Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) has opened a new plant at Coimbatore for manufacturing small pumps.
Spread over six acres, the manufacturing facility is in Karumathampatti near Coimbatore. The plant has an installed capacity of 250,000 units of different models of domestic pumps in the first phase and 500,000 units in the second phase.
According to Ravi Murthy, vice president and head – distribution business sector, this plant will provide a big boost to their efforts in addressing the fast growing market for small pumps in the Southern parts of India.
