KEC bags Rs 237 cr Oman order

KEC International, an RPG group company, has received an order worth Rs 237 crore in Oman for a project being implemented by the Ministry of Housing Electricity & Water (MHEW), Oman.
 
This order is part of a consortium project with Bhawan Engineering Company, Oman and has to be executed within 21 months.
 
KEC has an established presence in Oman and has recently executed an order worth more than Rs 210 crore for MHEW. KEC's scope of work includes supply and installation of approximately 213-km long, 220 KV double circuit overhead lines from Sohar power plant to Filay sub-station, and 14 km-long, 132KV double circuit overhead lines from Sohar grid sub-station to Khabura grid sub-station.
 
At present the company has a healthy order book position and is engaged in executing orders in various countries such as the UAE, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Kenya among others.
 
In the domestic market the company is executing orders for Powergrid, Powerlinks Transmission, WBSEB, APTRANSCO, GRIDCO, J&K SPDC etc.
 
KEC is one of the largest global power transmission, engineering, procurement and construction companies in Asia and has a presence in more than 20 countries and approximately 75 per cent of its revenues are generated from overseas projects.
