KEC Int'l bags Rs 49 cr order from Power Grid Corp

 According to an official release issued by KEC to the BSE today, the company's scope of work includes supply and construction of approximately 45-km long 400 KV double circuit Kahalgaon-Patna Transmission Line at Barh.

The line is associated with Barh Transmission System for evacuation of power from Barh Thermal Power Station being constructed by NTPC. The project is scheduled to be completed by July 2008.

KEC is currently engaged in executing orders in Abu Dhabi, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, Zambia, Nigeria and Ethiopia. In the domestic market, too, the company is a leading player and is already executing various orders for PGCIL, WBSEB, J&K SPDC, UPPCL and Power links, the release added.
