KEC International bags order worth Rs 470 cr

KEC International, a player in the power transmission business and part of the RPG group, has bagged international orders worth Rs 470 crore from Saudi Arabia and Chad in Africa.

In Saudi Arabia, its order size is Rs 400 crore comprising two projects. In Chad, the order size is of Rs 70 crore comprising rehabilitation, reinforcement and extension  of electricity distribution network.

Ramesh Chandak, managing director and CEO of KEC International, in a statement, said, "The order in Saudi Arabia indicates the steady revival of the Middle East market in view of the stabilising crude prices."

KEC International has its operations in over 20 countries including UAE, Egypt, Afghanistan, India, South Africa, Kenya among others.

 

On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company's share prices traded at Rs 595, up 1.2 per cent at IST 1306.
