KEC International on Thursday said it has won orders in the transmission and cables space worth Rs 610 crore, sending its shares higher.
In the transmission segment, the company has won total orders of Rs 487 crore for turnkey transmission lines in the Georgia, South Africa, Zambia, Philippines and UAE, it said in a notice to stock exchanges.
In the cables segment, KEC International has won orders for supply of low tension, high tension and extra high voltage power cables worth Rs 123 crore from various customers.
Shares of the company were trading up Rs 15.15, or 3.22 per cent, at Rs 486.25 on Thursday on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
