"This win , our second in Jharkhand state, underlines the strides KEC has made in the area of rural electrification,"said Ramesh Chandak ,managing director &CEO,KEC International.
The work awarded invloves rural electrification on turnkey basis in Dumka district of Jharkhand state.This is the largest single value order awarded under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yogana (RGGVY) scheme till date.
Schedules to be completed by December 2009, this is the second order received in the state of Jharkhand by KEC from NESCL.
In terms of scale, KEC's scope of work covers electrification of 1454 villages, providing
approximately two lakh BPL service connections and fourteen 33/11kv new substations.
