KEC Intl bags Rs 1,511-cr orders

In addition, the company has secured Rs 43 crore orders for supply of power and telecom cables

Infrastructure major KEC International today said it has bagged domestic and overseas projects worth Rs 1,511 crore in transmission, power systems and cable businesses.

These projects include "two orders from Power Grid Corporation", including Rs 286 crore and Rs 386 crore contracts for supply and erection of Champa Pooling Station and Kurukshetra Transmission lines in two parts in Chhattisgarh, the RPG Group company said in a statement.

In addition, the company has secured Rs 43 crore orders for supply of power and telecom cables.

Among overseas orders, the company received a "Rs 602 crore order for design, supply and erection of 400 kV transmission line from Sur to Izki grid station on turnkey basis from Bhawan Engineering Company in Oman", it said.

Besides, it secured a Rs 131 crore order for supply and erection of transmission line and substation on turnkey basis in Nepal, Rs 63 crore orders for supply of lattice towers and poles in Brazil, Mexico and United States.
