KEC Intl gets Rs 285cr deal from Ethiopia

KEC International has secured new orders totaling $63.43 million (Rs 285 crore) from Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCO).

According to a release issued by KEC to the BSE today, the contracts are for construction of power distribution networks. "Funded by World Bank, the projects involve construction of 33kV distribution lines for about 1,400 kms, and setting up 460 transformers, which would entail electrification of 73 circles throughout Ethiopia," the release added.
