Kenventer Agro buys Eicher's food division

City-based Kenventer Agro (KAL) has taken over the food division of Eicher International.

Mayank Jalan, managing director of KAL, which is a part of the Rs 1,100 crore Kenventer Group, said the move was aimed at entering the highly attractive food pulp export market.

"It is a strategic move by us to tap the huge potential of the export market. It will be a growth engine for us," Jalan said adding, "we are open to more such acquisitions in the future."

He, however, refrained from disclosing the value of the deal citing confidentiality agreement with Eicher.
