Khosla to launch paper wrapping machine

Mohali-based Khosla Machines Private Ltd has developed a high-speed, fully automatic soap wrapping machine that can compete with their Italian counterparts.

The state-of-the-art machine, with a capacity to wrap up 200-230 tablets (soap units) per minute, is expected to hit the market in two-three months.

Established in 1983, the company has expertise in package machinery and covers a wide range of machines to pack biscuits and soaps. Also, the company has 16 patent designs in its name.

Today, the company has reputed and renowned clientele such as Hindustan Lever, Nirma, Henkel Spic, Colgate-Palmolive, Tomco, Godrej Soaps, Britannia, Kwality, and Wonderlight.

The company has two units, one in Panchkula and the other in Mohali. The Panchkula unit deals with biscuit wrapping while the Mohali unit caters to the soap industry.

Company Managing Director A Khosla said, "At present, we offer machine with capacity to wrap 160 tablets (soap units) per minute. The new machine would have latest gadgets and capacity to wrap up 200-230 tablets (units) per minute."

"At present, machines with more than 200 capacity are being imported from Italy. But once this machine comes into the market, it would definitely give tough competition to the Italian machine," he added.

Besides the existing product portfolio, the company also develops packing machines for chocolate bars, buns, bread, cheese, credit cards, ball bearings, etc.
