Press Trust Of India Mumbai
Kingfisher Airlines today hiked its airfare by Rs 150-350 with immediate effect, while Jet Airways is expected to do so from April 7.

"The increase in the fares for long-haul Kingfisher flights will be Rs 350, while for the short-haul the hike in ATF surcharge would be Rs 150," a Kingfisher spokesperson said.

"This has been necessitated due to the hike in ATF by oil companies," he said.

A Jet Airways official said the carrier would be increasing its fares from April 7.

The increase in surcharge would be the same as that of Kingfisher for both long and short-haul flights.

While other air-carriers have not yet taken a decision to up their fares, it is understood that they too would follow suit in the next few days.
