Kodak to double its kiosk in a year

Eastman Kodak Company is planning to double its Kodak Picture Kiosks from the present 80 kiosks across the country. The company aims to increase footprints with the kiosks as it no longer feels the need to have large stores.

“The idea is to have more touchpoints and be closer to the consumer. We are now focussing on the 2x3 feet kiosks as we no longer need large stores. From 80 kiosks at present, we aim to double it in a year,” said Saraswatula Srinivasu, Vice President — Sales and Channel Management and SPG head Digital Camera& Device and Film capture, Kodak at the launch of Kodak PlaySport video camera in Ahmedabad.

 

Following the company’s launch of its first pocket video camera recently, Kodak has launched Playsport in India. With a market share of 20 per cent in the digital camera market, Kodak plans to launch more products in the category.

“The entire pocket video camera is a new category in India and we are the pioneers. We will continuously keep investing and launching new products for new generation youth who has got an active lifestyle,” Srinivasu said.

Kodak has 1600 Kodak Express stores in India.
