Kohinoor Steel Ltd., a major secondary steel plant in Jharkhand, said it was dropping plans to further expand capacity in the state after alleging here that it was getting no assistance from the Jharkhand state government despite expanding capacity in the state and providing employment.
Bijoy Bothra, managing director of Kohinoor Steel, told Business Standard over phone that it had to take the decision although it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2005 for installing an integrated steel plant in Jharkhand.
