Kotak Investment Bank has been adjudged the "Best Investment Bank in India" and "Best Equity House in India" in the FinanceAsia Country Awards for Achievement and the "Best Domestic Equity House" at the Asiamoney Best Banks Awards for 2011.
According to a release, this is the sixth consecutive year that Kotak has been awarded the best investment bank in India title by FinanceAsia and the fourth year in a row that the firm has been named the best domestic equity house by Asiamoney.
According to FinanceAsia, "Kotak was present on a number of the top equity issuances in the period under review and it worked on equity deals across industry sectors spanning consumer products, real estate and finance, to name a few". It further added that Kotak "was one of the players instrumental in the revival of the non-convertible debenture market in India".
Asiamoney, meanwhile, observed that "Kotak has consistently been the broader house, being substantial in the secondary markets and having a strong reputation in equities research".
