Gandhinagar-based Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL), a leading EPC player in power T&D sector has reported a hike of 12 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter ending September 2010. Net profit of KPTL for the current quarter of fiscal 2010-11 was around Rs 41.37 crore as against a net profit of Rs 36.92 crore for the corresponding period last year.
KPTL’s revenue for the quarter increased by 14 per cent to Rs 631 crore for the second quarter as compared to Rs 552.53 crore for the corresponding period last year. Currently, KPTL's order book stands at over Rs 5,000 crore. For the half year ending September 2010, the company reported an increase of 12 per cent in revenue to Rs 1,169 crore, with rise in PBT by 17 per cent to Rs 107 crore and a 13 per cent increase in PAT at Rs 78 crore as compared to corresponding six months of previous year.
"Our performance has continued to improve on a sequential basis to achieve our desired growth. We have won ordeRs in excess of Rs 900 crore in the last three months and have bid for tendeRs in exceeding Rs 4,000 crore for which results are yet awaited," said Pankaj Sachdeva, managing director, KPTL.
