Kumar Mangalam Birla exits Tata Steel board

Tata Steel today said Kumar Mangalam Birla has tendered his resignation as a director of the company.

Tata Steel informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Kumar Mangalam Birla tendered his resignation with effect from August 14.

Birla had earlier resigned as a non-executive independent director from the board of Maruti Udyog after a three-year tenure in July.

Following the resignation of Birla, Maruti announced the appointment of DS Brar as non-executive independent director and Tsuneo Kobayashi as non-executive director.
