KYB-Conmat to roll out first concrete mixer by July-end

The company to commission facility shortly, aims to manufacture 200 units in first year

The indo-Japanese joint venture, KYB-Conmat will roll out first mobile concrete mixer by July end from its latest manufacturing facility at Por near Vadodara. The company aims to manufacture 200 such transit mixers in the first year of its operations.

“The work is on stream. We are set to rollout the first transit mixer by July-end. Our target is to reach at the full capacity of 1500 units per annum in the third year of operation,” informed Prem Raj Kashyap, managing director, Conmat Systems.

The company will cater to the mid-level corporate at the initial stage, while going forward it looks to increase its present pan India.
 

“With KYB’s partnership we will be able to generate more business from large corporate in future,” said Kashyap.

According to industry estimate, market size of the concrete mixers in India is roughly around 4500 units per annum. The demand is expected to grow to about 10,000 units a year over the next five years. KYB-Conmat is presently the second organised player in the Indian market next to German player Schwing Stetter.

“This will be the first concrete mixer being rolled out from Gujarat by any company,” Kashyap had said during the announcement of the JV.

KYB Corporation – Japanese construction equipment major had acquired 50% stake in Vadodara-based Conmat Systems Pvt Ltd in February this year. The company will manufacture transit mixers (mobile concrete mixers for construction industry) for the Indian market.

The company plans to make an investment of Rs 100 crore over the next three years time.
