L&T bags new orders worth Rs 1,063 crore in Oct

The company also received new orders worth Rs 371 crore in water & effluent treatment business

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said it has received new orders of over Rs 1,063 crore across various segments in October.

"In the building and factories IC (independent company), the company has secured new orders worth Rs 323 crore for construction of and IT campus facility at Pune," L&T Construction said in a statement.

The company also received new orders worth Rs 371 crore in water & effluent treatment business.

"A major order was received from Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam, Government of Karnataka to design and construct a lift irrigation system at Hanamapur, Karnataka. Another order is from Public Health Engineering Department, Government of West Bengal for a water supply system in the Bankura district of West Bengal," it said.

Besides, the company said its power transmission and distribution IC has also bagged new order worth Rs 109 crore for construction of a 765/400 kV switchyard package in Uttar Pradesh.

The infrastructure IC secured orders valued at Rs 158 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for railway construction works consisting of doubling of lines between Villupuram and Dindigul section in the Madurai division of Southern Railways, it added.

The company also secured additional orders worth Rs 102 crore from various ongoing projects.
