Construction firm Larsen & Toubro today said it has bagged a road project worth Rs 1,400 crore from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
L&T Samakhiali Ghandhidham Tollway, a special purpose vehicle incorporated by the construction major has signed the agreement with NHAI to build 6-lane highways, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The estimated cost of the order is about Rs 1,400 crore, which is to be executed on build, operate and design basis, the filing added.
The project is to be completed within a period of 30 months, it said.
"The company is optimistically viewing the expanding road infrastructure space and is keen on adding a few more key road corridors in its kitty in the near future," the company said.
Larsen currently has 13 projects in its road portfolio.
Shares of Larsen & Toubro were trading at Rs 1,623 on BSE, up 0.36 per cent from previous close.
