Construction major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) today said it has won orders worth over Rs 1,875 crore across various business segments in March.
The group's construction arm, L&T Construction, secured orders worth Rs 895 crore in its power transmission and distribution segment in both domestic as well as international markets, a company statement said.
The company secured orders worth Rs 701 crore from its domestic customers, including Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for construction of 148km, 400 kV DC (Quad) transmission line from Pugalur to Pandiankuppam. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months, it said.
In addition to this, L&T has also bagged two orders for construction of sub-stations at Malaysendra from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation and from Power Grid Corporation (PGCIL) at Jind, Haryana.
L&T won orders worth Rs 194 crore for construction of a 220/33 KV sub-station and various orders for ongoing projects in the UAE.
In its building and factories segment, the company has bagged orders aggregating to Rs 841 crore, which include construction of residential apartments in Chennai and Mumbai and construction of a mall in Bangalore, the statement said.
In the solar business, L&T secured orders worth Rs 139 crore from developers for construction of a 5.75 MW solar PV plant on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis in Rajasthan and general civil works for 125 MW solar thermal power project in Gujarat.
