Larsen & Tubro, the $7 billion engineering and construction company, said that it had bagged large value orders of about Rs 5000 crore in the quarter which would end on 30 September. The orders have been bagged by its newly formed construction vertical company Buildings & Factories Operating Company.
The orders are for the construction of institutional, commercial, residential and factory buildings received from corporates such as Godrej Properties, Nesco, PBEL Property Development and Mahi Cement.
"These orders boost a growth trend that earlier saw the company securing major design and build orders in the airports, IT Parks and commercial space," said the company in a statement to Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
