L&T delivers giant gas platform for Abu Dhabi firm

A giant gas injection platform has sailed off from the coastal facility of  Larsen & Toubro (L&) at Hazira for Abu Dhabi-based Bunduq Company.

According to a release issued by L&T to the BSE today, the 2,400 tonne platform was the execution of the $52.5 million engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract bagged in July 2004.
 
"The gas injection platform is scheduled to be installed by January 15, 2006 in the EI Bunduq field," the release added.

"This is part of L&T's strategic drive to expand its focus beyond the Indian shores, and establish itself in the prime markets of the Middle East and Africa," K Venkataramanan, president (engineering & construction) and board member of L&T, said.
