Engineering firm Larsen & Toubro today said a consortium that includes itself has bagged orders worth Rs 3,816 crore for construction-related works.
"L&T in consortium with global technology partners has secured engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders aggregating Rs 3,816 crore from various customers in the metal industry," the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The orders received comprises an EPC order worth Rs 2,545 crore from Tata Steel for blast furnace works at its Jamshedpur site. L&T's portion in the contract is valued at Rs 1,578 crore. Other partners of the grouping are Germany-based Outotech and Paul Wurth of Italy.
Further, the L&T-Outotec consortium has secured a Rs 753 crore order from Steel Authority of India Ltd-Rourkela Steel Plant for construction works at their sinter plant. L&T's portion in the contract is valued at Rs 588 crore.
L&T has also bagged a Rs 518 crore order from Hindustan Zinc for engineering works in its electrolysis plant.
Shares of L&T were trading at Rs 2855, down 1.21 per cent on the BSE.
