Larsen & Toubro today reported a 63.74 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 54.51 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2001, up from Rs 33.29 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The net profit was boosted by a 58.87 per cent increase in other income to Rs 34.84 crore (Rs 21.93 crore).
