L & T Profit Rises 25% To Rs 433 Crore

The net profit of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) climbed 25 per cent to Rs 433 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2003, from Rs 346 crore in the corresponding period of 2001-02. Net sales increased to Rs 9,360.12 crore in 2002-03 from Rs 7,725.66 crore in the previous financial year.

This was announced in the board meeting of L&T today. Kumar Mangalam Birla and his mother Rajshree Birla, however, stayed away from the meeting.
