L&T wins Rs 211cr order to rebuild Kensington Oval

 Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won an order, valued at over Rs 211 crore, from World Cup Barbados Inc (WCB), West Indies, for the re-construction of the famed Kensington Oval cricket stadium in Barbados.

According to a release issued by L&T to the BSE today, the company will have total responsibility for the construction and execution of the project, and "ensure that the specifications of the International Cricket Council (ICC) are met before the first ball is bowled at the historic stadium."

The project will be completed by the company in 16 months (by January 31, 2007), the release added.
