Lanco Infratech posted a decline of 42.5 per cent in its net profit at Rs 70.45 crore for the second quarter ending September 30 against Rs 122.56 crore in the same period last year, due to decreased sales in its major construction business.
The revenues from EPC and construction business declined by 26 per cent to Rs 1,088 crore in the September quarter, as compared to Rs 1,467 crore in the same period last year. However, the revenues from power sector increased by 87 per cent to Rs 1,337 crore during the quarter, against Rs 713 crore in the previous year.
