Land hurdle stalls Jindal Angul project

After rescheduling the date thrice earlier, JSPL authorities had set the date of April 1 to kick off the construction work of their steel and power plant on the land acquired at Kaliakata and Sankerejanga near here.

They could not start due to opposition by some local villagers. The company authorities, meanwhile, categorically assured the people of affected villages of comprehensive and acceptable package for rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R).
