Lason India will set up a 20-seater centre at Jindal township to be managed by the spouses and relatives of the employees of JSW Steel, an O.P. Jindal group company.
The BPO would carry out data conversion (publicly available records into electronic format). "No confidential documents will be processed in these units," Pradeep Nevatia, managing director and CEO of Lason India, said.
"The venture will bridge the technology divide in Bellary and open up new possibilities for its people," Sangita Jindal, chairperson of JSW Foundation, said.
"While the infrastructure is provided by the Jindal group, we will be in charge of employee training to ensure quality work," Nevatia said.
