Tata Power is keeping legal options open in its battle against the state government over supply of power to Reliance Infrastructure (R-Infra).
Tata Power's lawyers took the "lodging number" in the Bombay High Court today, which enables them to file a writ petition without any hassles.
According to sources familiar with the development, Tata Power may file the writ petition on Wednesday and it can be mentioned on Friday, as these are the two days when the vacation bench sits. Tata Power is expected to make the state government, R-Infra and the State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) respondents.
"The company is not afraid of taking the legal course. It has not yet filed a writ petition, but our lawyers keep on seeking lodging dates in the high court," sources at Tata Power told Business Standard.
