Leitwind Shriram Manufacturing Ltd (LSML), an Indo European Joint venture between Shriram Group and Windfin BV (formerly Leitwind BV) has been awarded an order amounting to Rs 346 crore for the supply and erection of a 51 MW WEG order from Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited. The company is engaged in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of wind electric generators.
This order follows Leitwind’s recent completion of the supply, erection and commissioning of a wind farm of a capacity of 43.2 MW (24WEG’s of 1.8 MW each) in Tadipatri in Andhra Pradesh for Orient Green Power Company Limited
The scope of work from Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited is for a turnkey project and entails procuring of land, designing, manufacturing, supplying, erecting, testing, commissioning, and synchronising with grid, handing over, guaranteeing, operation and maintenance of 51 MW Wind farm at Kaluneerkulam, Tamil Nadu. The site is located at a distance of 40 KM (Approximately) North West of Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.
The order is to be executed over a period of 10 months.
