The German agro-equipment manufacturing major, LEMKEN GmbH & Co. KG, is eyeing sales figure of Rs 100 cr from its pre -harvesting agriculture equipments from its Indian operations in next three year.
Germany-based LEMKEN manufactures machinery for ploughing, seedbed preparation, cultivation sowing and plant protection.
Arvind Kumar , CEO, LEMKEN India Agro Equipment Pvt. Ltd, said, by the year 2015, the comapny is eyeing sales from its Indian operations to touch Rs 100 cr.
The market size for implements in India is estimated to be Rs 3000 cr.
LEMKEN India Agro Equipment Pvt. Ltd had recently set up manufacturing facility in Nagpur .The facility which would start commercial production by December would be expanded in phased manner.

Kumar said in India the company plans to manufacture agriculture implements in phases starting with 1MB, 2 MB & 3 MB hydraulic reversible plough in the first phase .
In second phase machinery for stubble cultivation would be introduced while in third phase machinery for seedbed preparation would be introduced.
The Nagpur plant will have a capacity to manufacture 3,000 units a year in the first phase and with the expansion of the second phase, the capacity will increase to 5,000 units a year. The combined investment in Nagpur plant would go up to Rs 120 cr.
The company to increase their presence in India is looking to set up 25 dealers across country with 7 dealers alone in Punjab. In first phase LEMKEN has plans to have dealers in Punjab, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
