Lenovo – world’s largest PC maker – promoted its current managing director for India business Amar Babu as chief operating officer of Asia Pacific and chairman of Lenovo India. Rahul Agarwal who has been the executive director, commercial & enterprise business, Lenovo India replaced Babu as the MD of Lenovo India.
“Rahul’s wealth of experience has been instrumental in driving Lenovo’s growth and making him the natural choice to take over from Amar Babu,” said Roderick Lappin, president, Asia Pacific, Lenovo.

The moves came at a time when the PC major is set to diversify in to smart connected devices. With the integration of Motorola Mobility and IBM x86 business being complete, Lenovo expects to have the scale and efficiency to operate more effectively in this highly-competitive and dynamic market as an end-to-end devices player.
