Leyland Sales Spurt 70% In December

The Chennai-based commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland has posted a 70 per cent growth in sales in December, notwithstanding the poor market sentiment during the month.

The company sold 3,152 vehicles during the month against 1,852 units sold in December 2001. It had sold 2,302 units in November 2002.
