Hinduja group flagship Ashok Leyland has registered a 26.9 per cent growth in commercial vehicle sales in September, at 3,072 units, against 2,422 units sold during the same month in 2001-02.

The company has recorded a 46.4 per cent growth in sales of its medium density vehicles (MDV), which touched 2,158 units during the month.

MDV sales, according to industry watchers, reflect the movement of capital goods, in addition to construction activities across the country.
