LG aims at Rs 10,000cr sales, banking on FPDs

LG is poised to cross turnover of Rs 10,000 crore in India by 2007 riding on increased sales of flat panel display systems.

Girish Rao, vice president (sales and marketing) of LG Electronics India, said, the company posted a turnover of Rs 7,500 crore in 2005, and the figure is expected to be about Rs 8,500-9,000 crore this year.

"The company is expecting colour television sales to drive growth, and flat panel displays are expected to contribute in a major way," he added.
