LG targets sales turnover of Rs 19,000 cr

Consumer electronics major LG Electronics India is targeting a sales turnover of Rs 19,000 crore this year, a top official of the firm said here today.

A subsidiary of LG Electronics of South Korea, is aiming at 40 per cent growth in sales, LG India Chief Operating Officer Y V Verma told reporters here.

LG Electronics had achieved a turnover of Rs 13,089 crore in the last calendar year, he said.

Launching the 'LG Ponninkudam' offer for the 'Onam' festival season in Kerala, he said customers would win an assured gift on every purchase.

LG has also roped in superstar Mohanlal as brand endorser exclusively for Kerala customers for this Onam. A few lucky customers would win an opportunity to have lunch with him.

 

He said LG expects a 50 per cent growth in the Kerala market. Total sales turnover target has been pegged at Rs 375 crore for the season from the state, he said.

The offer, starting today, would be valid till September 15.

LG is one of the most formidable brands in consumer electronics, home appliances, IT hardware and mobile communications space.
