Branded footwear firm Liberty has tied up with US-based multinational Disney for launching a new brand under the latter's Avenger animation series.
Terming the licensed market as a new opportunity for them, Liberty's executive director Anupam Bansal today said, “the tie-up would generate confidence to the customers that we are a top brand and the long-term association with a popular name like Disney would help us go global with our products.”
The partnership allows both Disney and Liberty to jointly promote the brand Avengers. Marvel'’ Avengers Assemble is a new animated series set in the Marvel Universe, on Disney XD.

Bansal said the new Avengers children-and-youth footwear collection would hit the market in the middle or end of March this year.
“We expect the partnership would help connect with the children and the youth with our brand. In the first phase-I, we will launch them exclusively in India and over a period of time, depending on the success, we hope to take the brand global,” said Bansal.
