LIC Housing Finance posted its third quarter results today with a net profit of Rs 213 crore, up 38.31 per cent compared to Rs 154 crore in the same period a year ago.
The total income has increased to Rs 1,354.42 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, up 53.82 per cent from Rs 880.49 crore for the same period in the previous year.
The income from operations were posted at Rs 1,161 crore for the December quarter.
The shares of the company gained 9.58 per cent trading at Rs 170.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange at day's close.
