Linde Group looks at investing in AP

CEO, other top execs meet Chandrababu Naidu, evince interest in working with state in freezing of sea food

German industrial gases and engineering conglomerate Linde Group today said it was looking at investing over $200 million in seafood freezing and other areas in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The group chief executive officer Wolfgang Buchele along with a team of his company officials met with AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and evinced interest in working with the state in freezing of sea food.

During their interaction with the chief minister, the delegation explained the group's expertise in cryogenic freezing of food besides their presence in the international gases market, engineering expertise in supporting olefin (a group of primary petrochemicals) and natural gas plants among others.

 

Apart from seafood freezing the group also shown interest petrochemicals and auto component manufacturing, according to a statement issued by the chief minister's office.

The chief minister asked the group to submit their plans within 4 weeks for further support to their proposed investment plans, the press release said.
