Faced with liquidity crunch, the DLF group, has deferred all its ongoing projects across the country.
This was disclosed by K P Singh, chairman, DLF group, to media persons at the India Economic Summit organised by the World Economic Forum and the Confederation of the Indian Industries (CII) here.
Singh said that in case the DLF continued to face the situation of virtually no demand for houses from the consumers the group would have to shut down all its future plans.
Asked if the prices of the houses were not highly inflated, Singh said: "In an economy when everything slows down nothing can be inflated."
He said if the current trend of no demand for the houses continued, the companies would have no choice but to slash the prices.
He, however, said that in case of DLF has to wind up its future plans, a lot of people would be rendered jobless.
