LocalOye on expansion spree, goes pan India with launch of online services

The new services include online astrology, online legal counselling and online marriage counselling among others

On-demand hyper local service provider LocalOye on Thursday said it has gone Pan India with the launch of its new online service category. Through this platform, the Bengaluru-based startup has added 12 online professional services to its national offerings.

The new services include online astrology, online legal counseling and online marriage counseling among others, espcially targeting the tier-II and ?III users who have little acccess to such professional services.

"Our market research indicated that there is a tremendous untapped potential for these services across India. We are aiming for at least 600 service requests per day across all services," said Aditya Rao, founder and chief executive officer, LocalOye.

 

The company is backed by Webchutney founder Sidharth Rao, former Network18 chief executive officer Haresh Chawla ( who is also an investor in Housing.com, Burrp.com, Askme.com and Bookmyshow.com), co-founder of MakeMyTrip.com Sachin Bhatia, Tiger Global Management and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

LocalOye claims to have scaled from 200 service requests per day in April to 3,500 service requests per day in August, thanks to its rapid expansion in cities like Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR.

Currently, LocalOye offers more than 30 services to the customers across five major categories ? home, education, beauty, health and fitness and event planning. It has about 4,500 service providers across 35 services and has serviced more than 200,000 customers.

LocalOye competes with other startups in the space like UrbanClap, Timesaverz, and TaskBob.
