Logica buy to give Canadian firm foothold

The acquisition of European IT services company Logica is expected to give CGI a strong foothold in India, which houses the offshore delivery centres of most of the global IT services companies. Canadian IT services company CGI on Thursday has offered to acquire the Dutch company for a consideration of $2.6 billion.
