Lotto opens outlet at Vadodara

Sierra Industrial Enterprises Pvt Ltd, the licensee in India for Lotto Sport Italia, opened its first exclusive outlet in Gujarat, at Vadodara, on Friday.

Company officials said that two more exclusive outlets will be opened at Ahmedabad and Surat by Setember this year.

"We began operations in India in February this year. We had planned to open 25 exclusive outlets in the country over the next three years. However, we will open the outlets by the end of the current year," said B D Nathani, vice-president, sales-marketing, Lotto.

He added that, Lotto shoes are available in 511 stores all across the country including exclusive outlet stores of Bata, Metro, Regal, Planet Sport, Lifestyle and Royal Sporting House.

"The company aims to achieve sales of Rs 25 crore in the first year of operations," Nathani said.

Commenting on why the company has chosen Vadodara for its exclusive outlet, Nathani said consumers in Gujarat are extremely price sensitive and Lotto would position its prices in such a way that the shoes are affordable.
