Luminous Teleinfra to set up Rs 150 cr plant in HP

Luminous Teleinfra, an SAR Group subsidiary, today said it is setting up a manufacturing facility in Himachal Pradesh with an investment of Rs 150 crore for producing telecom batteries, power management units and conversion devices.

The company targets a turnover of Rs 400-500 crore by 2009-10 from this project.

"We will be having battery manufacturing capacity of one billion amperes per hour and power management devices with a capacity of 50,000 units per annum in our new facility, which is coming up at Una in HP," Luminous Teleinfra Director Paresh Pradhan said.

This project is being financed by promoter's equity, term loans and four per cent stake by IFCI Venture Capital Funds, he said.

 

With company hoping to start commercial production by the second quarter of 2009-10, it would also provide turnkey site preparation services for telecom cell sites all over India by leveraging its competencies in supply chain, project management and network design and implementation.
