Lupin has appointed Jim Loerop, a senior pharmaceutical industry executive, to drive its mergers, acquisitions and business development strategy. Loerop will hold the position of chief corporate development officer.
His appointment comes at a time when the Indian drug maker is scouting for speciality assets in women's health and neurology segments in the United States and other regulated markets. Prior to joining Lupin, Loerop served as senior vice-president in Alexion Pharmaceuticals and looked after global business development.
