Mahindra and Mahindra, which launched its range of tractors in the 30-45 HP category named Mahindra Yuvo expects the industry to grow this year after declining for two straight years on the back of favourable monsoon forecasts.

Ravindra Shahane, vice president - marketing, farm division, Mahindra and Mahindra said that from a volume of 630,000 tractors in FY11, the industry has shrunk to 495,000 units in FY16.

He added that if the monsoons are normal this year, therefore there is a possibility of a significant upside.

Tamil Nadu is already showing some upswing in demand, he added.

Mahindra, which sold around 203,000 tractors in FY16, has a 41 per cent share of the national market.

The Yuvo range comes in five models and will be available in 15 states. It is priced from Rs 4.64 lakh for 265 DI (32 HP) ESR Ahmedabad.
