M&M launches 2 small cargo vehicles

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) today launched two small cargo vehicles, viz. MaXX MAXI truck and Bolero Pik Up.

The vehicles add to the range of small goods carriers and accommodate customers aspirations across the segment, according to the company.

The MaXX Maxi truck, priced at Rs 3,41,900, is targetted at customers keen on better power, higher speed, better load carrying capacity and fuel economy; the Bolero Pik Up, priced at Rs 4,29,900 (both prices ex-showroom, Pune), is aimed at customers seeking style and looks in goods carriers without compromise on efficiency, Vivek Nayer, VP(marketing) of M&M, said.

"With a presence in the entire spectrum of capacities and price points from Rs 1.2 lakh to Rs 4.5 lakh we now have a product to suit every need," he said.

The decision to launch these two products was made after elaborate studies of customer expectations, he stressed.

Pegging the Indian market for these vehicles at 1,50,000 units per year, Nayer said M&M would target a share of over 50% in this market in a full year. The company currently has a share of 35% in the segment.
